Ms. Rawlings
is an infectious disease epidemiologist with the Texas Department
of Health's Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Surveillance
Division. Her responsibilities include coordinating activities
to improve reporting of notifiable diseases in Texas and surveillance
for vector-borne diseases.
She earned
her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin
and a Master's in Public Health from the University of California
at Berkeley. She is published on a variety of infectious diseases
including: typhus, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme disease
(including its isolation in Texas), ehrlichiosis, other tick-borne
disorders, and hantavirus. |
